Trays and Wall Art

Cherry Blossom Tray is hand carved on antique wood ....
Close-up of carving and painting...Jeff's trays can be displayed on the wall as wall art too!
Functional wall art!

Lily pad tray....a really special piece....

Rooster Shelf

Roosters, chickens, cows..this shelf is a great little piece of folk art...the heart is raised with a crackle finish..and the painting is really cleverly done...

Morristown Craft Market Show

Jeff just returned from a very successful show in New Jersey...Pictured with the customer who purchased the exact Fiddlehead Bowl that was the featured piece in the Living with Craft exhibit at the League of NH Show earlier this summer...

This "Arm of God" was a show favorite...carved of pine and beautifully painted...

Jeff's snowmen were a big hit at the show...each one is individually carved and painted..no two are alike....

Wild Orchard Guest Room door signs...

Five of the guest rooms at Wild Orchard are named after who I think are interesting women....Nellie Bly, Tasha Tudor, Alma Mathews, Eleanor Roosevelt and the Renaissance Room..for all women...anyway..Jeff created room signs for each door using his artistic sensibilities....and the finished work, and look,  is great...

Floor Painting for Guest House

Jeff panted this "floor art" for an area in the guest house where there is alot of traffic between the kitchen and living room and I wanted something artistic that would brighten the room.  It has quickly become a real focal point that all my guests notice right away.  The crackle paint, the colors he chose, the "fringe" on the edging of the artwork all work together to make a beautiful "welcome mat" for guests to enjoy.  Thanks Jeff!

Fiddlehead Hall Table

Jeff designed and made this Fiddlehead Hall Table in his woodworking studio at Wild Orchard Guest Farm....Charming is one word that comes to mind...part of the Fiddlehead collection of bowls, lamps and tables that's he's been working on for upcoming craft shows.

Chicken Coop

Wild Orchard Guest Farm new Chicken Coop, completed by Jeff in July....This little house has 6 nests, a  steeped roof that's great for ventilation,  custom stained glass windows...chickens have never had it so good.  I wanted a coop for my fancy Silkie Chickens that didn't look like your run-of-the-mill coop and Jeff created a very nice looking coop that adds plenty of charm to the country farm scene.

Another cool idea..I sold this birdhouse clock at a Wild Orchard Guest House open house last year.. I had several artist friends displaying their work throughout the guest house and this clock was purchased by a customer who used to shop at the Cordwainer Gallery in Bedford...she knew the moment she saw this clock that it had to be her's!  The Blue Bird pendulum swings (flies actually!) gently from side to side and the roof is shingled with  real little itsy bitsy shingles that Jeff made....the bird is carved out of pine and hand painted with paint colors close to the real bluebird coloring...almost indiscernible from the real thing!

Custom Spice Rack with Carved Hot Peppers!

Jeff creates custom designs like this cool Spice Rack with carved peppers for a chef who like the pepper motif..Custom fit for the chefs' kitchen counter about 47x24x7, with varying shelf heights for different size jars...
Here's one of Jeff's smaller  antique colander clocks with an interesting  peeler pendulum...I have this clock on display in the Bed and Breakfast and it generates lots of compliments....

Colander Clocks

I first started selling Jeff''s colander clocks at my gallery in Bedford ...Cordwainer Gallery of Fine Crafts  and now I show and sell his work at my Bed and Breakfast in Deerfield, NH.  http://www.wildorchardguestfarm.com/
He uses vintage as well as new colanders and every clock face is hand carved and painted by Jeff...no two are alike.  He's getting ready for a craft show in Morristown, New Jersey this October http://www.morristowncraftmarket.com/  and has been stockpiling clock inventory...Jeff has about 40 already made up, as well as some charming benches, carved bowls, trays and some very unique ornaments..His clocks retail from $125-$295, depending on the size, whether it is a new or old colander and also the intricacy of the carvings,  The pendulums match the style of the colanders and swing gently back and forth.  Every kitchen should have one!
